I have been waiting for three weeks to get this very picture of my two boys together. It's not the best, but the other ones I had Wilson magically erased from our memory stick. That kid is a technological genius! I love this picture because it puts all my illogical fears about Wilson hating his baby brother to rest. He will randomly ask to hold Bennett and of course we have to let him. Wilson doesn't seem to care if Bennett is freaking out or calm, but the holding usually only lasts about a minute. Then Wilson will announce that he is finished with Bennett and gently "push" him to get him off his lap.
Wilson also likes to pet his baby brother. I keep telling him that you don't pet a baby on the head you pat him, but apparently Bennett is his vicarious puppy. I am really glad that Wilson is adapting fairly well to life with a sibling. He definitely has his bouts of regression and fit throwing, but I guess that's to be expected. It's definitely a mother's payday to hear Wilson ask to hold Bennett or giggle at him when he has the hiccups or even when he loads his pants. Wilson thinks that is especially hilarious. Boys. Go figure.
What a man! He is the best husband and greatest dad ever. He works really hard for his family and travels alot, so we enjoy all the time we can get with him. He is serving in the bishopric and doing a wonderful job. He loves Utah Football and recently went to the Las Vegas Bowl to watch his precious team get smashed. But, he loves road trips, so he didn't really care. He is also a Jazz fanatic and is still a technology nerd. We love him!
Steph
This is me. I still love being a mother and am now expecting our third baby in June. I love hanging out with my boys, my sisters, my friends, making cards, dating my husband, and watching the Jazz. Some of my dreams are to one day make it to the lower bowl of the ESC, train for and run a marathon after all this pregnancy nonsense, and travel to Hawaii, Australia and take a train trip down the Pacific coast.
Wilson
Wilson is now 4 1/2 and so super smart. He is in preschool and loves practicing his letters, singing Apples and Bananas, reading books, playing pretend, Phineas and Ferb and learning anything about animals. He still adores dinosaurs and knows more about them than most adults. He is growing up too fast, but I love to watch it and be apart of it!
Bennett
Bennett is now 2 1/2 years old. He talks up a storm and thinks he belongs in preschool with his brother. He loves Buzz Lightyear, rocket ships, monster trucks, nursery and is the best hugger this side of the Mississippi. He loves his brother, but will not be pushed around. As soon as we can get him potty trained he will be a force to be reckoned with!
